Jordan is FRESCo’s Program Manager and has been providing services related to the improvement of energy efficiency in residential buildings for 14 years. He is an experienced project manager, energy/business case analyst, and is a Professional Planner. He has diverse experience in energy/water conservation, green building and infrastructure, cost consulting, community sustainability, and energy/emissions planning.
Jordan has been the project lead for numerous building energy efficiency and GHG reduction projects in the private and public sectors, including over 25 million square feet of buildings of various types and sizes and a variety of planning/policy initiatives. When not at work Jordan enjoys padding, surfing, camping, and biking with his wife and two children.
Peter is FRESCo’s General Manager and a strategic innovator with over two decades of experience designing and delivering energy efficiency and clean energy programs in North America, Asia and Latin America. At FRESCo, Peter is responsible for business management, supporting business, partnership and team development and providing senior consulting services.
Peter brings a wide and diverse range of skills with single family residential, multi-unit residential, small commercial and affordable housing buildings. His expertise includes business management, energy efficiency program design and implementation, training program development and delivery, marketing efficiency programs, managing energy assessment teams, research and analysis and industry and consumer engagement.
Prior to working with FRESCo, Peter was the Executive Director at City Green – an innovative social enterprise delivering energy efficiency programs and services, an international project coordinator, and a consultant in the field of disarmament and post-conflict reconstruction. When not at work Peter enjoys building stuff, surfing, SUPing, skateboarding, snowboarding, biking, camping, cooking and being in the outdoors with his wife and two children.
Sofia is a registered mechatronics Professional Engineer (P. Eng), with a holistic background in mechanical, electrical and controls systems. Her experience has led her to gain technical expertise through the design and project management of new and existing industrial, multi-residential, commercial and institutional buildings.
She is passionate about fighting climate change by reducing building’s green house gas emissions. Her current role in energy efficiency allows her to work closely with building owners and managers to help them improve their triple bottom line: people, planet and profit. She also likes to give back to the industry by volunteering for local groups such as the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC), BC Sustainable Energy Association (BCSEA) and the Division for the Advancement of Women in Engineering (DAWEG). When not at work, you can find Sofia playing soccer, horseback riding or attending a music concert.
Paul is a licensed mechanical Professional Engineer (P.Eng) and Certified Energy Manager (CEM). He has over 2 decades of experience in building systems engineering, energy efficiency and project management. He also has extensive experience with field performance assessment of HVAC and building controls systems.
Paul’s current role as Senior Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager allows him to be involved in a variety of efforts from mechanical design projects to facility energy audits.
Paul enjoys the great outdoors: hiking, camping, snowshoeing and skiing, to name a few hobbies. He has a deep appreciation of nature and is committed to environmental sustainability.
John is a Professional Engineer who has completed over 450 energy assessments and studies in facilities ranging from industrial to commercial to apartment buildings, two ships and a castle. He is passionate about helping customers implement practical solutions to dramatically cut carbon, energy and water use.
John’s current role as Engineer/Senior Analyst is to work with clients and contractors to survey sites, analyze bills, controls, mechanical and lighting systems, and identify projects to reduce carbon and costs. He completed the BCIT SEMAC program and is currently enrolled in Passive House courses. John enjoys helping his kids with their homework, building treehouses, growing veggies and electrifying vehicles.
Godfrey is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at FRESCo. He is a Registered Professional Engineer (BC) and a
Certified Energy Manger (CEM).
As it is Godfrey’s desire to play a leading role in making the world a better place, he gave back by serving
on the local board of ASHRAE, including as President of the BC Chapter and in creating equal
opportunities through educating and encouraging men and women to choose engineering as a career.
He has been a keynote speaker at ASHRAE conferences and technical meetings and has served the
engineering profession as a candidate assessor for the Association of Professional Engineers, now
Engineers and Geoscientists BC. He now resides in Tsawaassen, BC and enjoys sailing, squash and
motorcycle touring.
Niki is a Building Science Engineer who graduated from BCIT. As a Junior specialist and with a background in mechanical engineering, she supports the team to implement energy efficiency audits and building mechanical systems design.
She conducts research on residential and commercial building energy efficiency technologies and mechanical system performance. She is deeply passionate about green buildings and sustainability. Her current role at FRESCo allows her to work closely with clients and to help them improve their buildings.
Niki enjoys outdoor activities including skiing, hiking, camping, and biking.
Jeff’s passion for the environment has led him to a career with diverse experiences and education in energy management and building controls, carbon offsets, forestry, and sustainable farming. These experiences have allowed him a good perspective on the sustainable challenges that companies face today. He uses his sales, marketing, technical and project management skills in many areas of our business.
Jeff is a BCIT SEMAC grad and has completed the building controls for energy management program at BCIT. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, spending time with his family and playing disc golf.
Jeff is currently serving as a project coordinator for FRESCo, and plays a large role in project coordination, sales, marketing and communications.
Sally is an experienced administrative assistant and is known for her attention to detail and time management skills. As the Project Assistant at FRESCo, she is responsible for the administrative support for all projects. In her previous role, she worked as a Supervisor in the administrative services department for a large property management company.
She graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Major in Economics. Outside of work, she enjoys going to the movies and eating sweets.
Shiva has a master’s degree in Energy Management and several years of experience in various areas of Mechanical Engineering such as design, performance test, inspection, quality control, building energy analysis and simulation, feasibility studies, and technical proposals.
She has over 10 years of experience in the energy industry focusing on high-performance high efficiency building facilities and power plants. She has a detailed technical understanding of, and experience with, building codes and engineering standards. She performs energy and life cycle cost analysis to design building systems that exhibit a high level of thermal comfort while minimizing energy consumption and GHG emissions.
Shiva enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and biking.
Mehdi is a Certified Energy Manager and has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Currently he is working towards a master’s degree in engineering management from the University of Ottawa. Over the past ten years, he has utilized his engineering education in various industries internationally and in Canada. He is passionate about optimization in building mechanical systems with a keen interest in energy conservation and efficiency.
As a Mechanical Designer, he works under the supervision of a Senior Mechanical Engineer to prepare required drafts, drawings and calculations, performs site visits, and co-operates with clients.
Mehdi enjoys playing soccer, taking care of house plants, and is learning to play a Persian lute, the Taar.
Shabnam is an experienced researcher specializing in energy policy and regulations, energy efficiency, housing policy, and designing decarbonization plans. She is passionate about reducing GHG emissions from the built environment and improving energy efficiency. Currently, she is working towards a master’s degree in Environment and Management from Royal Roads University.
Shabnam is working as a Decarbonization Strategy and Policy Consultant, researching best practices and developing strategies to reduce energy use and carbon emissions. Shabnam is an outdoor enthusiast always up for a new challenge. She enjoys cycling, swimming, hiking, and camping.
Frank is a mechanical engineering specialist with over a decade of international construction experience in HVAC systems for institutional and infrastructure buildings and he is a member of ASHRAE.
He is passionate about GHG emissions reduction in the building sector and is pursuing a master’s degree in Energy Management at NYIT, Vancouver. His current role as a Mechanical Designer at FRESCo involves working with clients and contractors, surveying sites and supporting the team in mechanical design projects.
Frank enjoys spending time with his family, road cycling, basketball and kayaking.
Jasmine is an experienced administrator who enjoys supporting workers and assisting to drive the company’s mission forward. As an Administrator at FRESCo, she maintains office services by organizing and managing operations and procedures. In her previous role, she worked in the construction industry as an operations manager.
She graduated from Brock University with a Major in Labour Studies and Political Science. Jasmine is currently pursuing her M.A at the University of British Columbia in Public Policy and Global Affairs with a specialization in human security and environmental sustainability.
Shemina is and experienced administrator. She has been working in this field for over 10 years now. Throughout her career, she has gained extensive experience in office administration, including managing day to day operations, coordinating schedules, and overseeing projects, In her previous role, she served as an office manager for a shingle remanufacturing company where she was responsible for overseeing the Financial and administrative tasks and ensuring smooth operations.
When she is not working, she enjoys Hikes with her family, watching movies and cooking.
Gypsy Fisher, B.Sc., M.Sc., P.Geo., is FRESCo’s Water Resource Management Specialist. She is a senior hydrogeologist, providing consulting services related to surface water and groundwater supply. Gypsy has been providing water management advice for over 13 years. Her knowledge and experience balances technical expertise with a deep understanding of regulatory policy and community needs.
Gypsy has diverse experience working with industry, government, and First Nations. This includes managing complex projects involving multi-stakeholder interests; effectively communicating complex issues to both technical and non-technical audiences. Gypsy holds strong values for transparent communication and relationship building, leading to win-win solutions.
Gypsy has been the lead water license regulator for complex hydropower projects, including technical assessments and construction site inspections, managing technical contractors and leading project-related fisheries and wildlife technical working groups. She has also successfully managed environmental regulation amendments and policy developments pertaining to groundwater and surface water resource management, dam safety, and First Nations treaty negotiations and water allocation. Gypsy is an expert in the Water Sustainability Act, Water Sustainability Regulation and Groundwater Protection Regulation.
Earlier in her career, Gypsy supported First Nations’ owned sustainable forestry operations. Her work focused on the design and development of an environmental monitoring program. This included community capacity building through training and coordination with local Nu-Cha-Nulth First Nations field crews.
When not working, Gypsy enjoys wilderness explorations with her husband and children through activities such as paddling, camping, rockhounding and hiking.
